CAMERA SHY

Unless you're a model by profession, the idea of being in front of the camera for an engagement session is probably all kinds of scary for you. The good news? If you're anything like me, preparation and lots of insight into what you can expect with your engagement photography goes a long way to shake those nerves.

IT TURNED OUT TO BE FUN

If you don’t normally like being photographed, an engagement session is a great way to discover that being the subject can be great fun! I also really appreciate getting to know you more before your wedding, and you also get an idea of how it will feel having me as your photographer on the day.

TIME TO EXPRESS YOURSELF

Use the engagement session to express your personality as people and most importantly as a couple. Make it fun, casual, and just enjoy some quality time away from your wedding planning and the rest of the world.

CHILL AND RELAX

Your engagement session will give you at least 1 hour to escape & realise you really are getting married and to have some time together. At the same time, we will take some photos, I’ll give you some light direction, but most of the time I’ll just let things happen. It will be a fun time that you can cherish for the rest of your life.

WHAT TO WEAR

Compliment each other, but leave the matchy-match outfits at home. Instead, coordinate more subtly by wearing varying hues or shades of the same colour. Colour coordination brings a balanced, easy feel to your photos. Bonus: it will be even easier to find light that flatters you both if you're dressing in the same colour family. I will send you a complete preparation guide when we have set a date for your wonderful engagement session.
